Chapter Four!

Grace and Peace from the Jones Family.

Good things are happening!  Beth has been offered a position at Mater Hospital in Dublin!  Thank you to all who prayed!!  They will be doing her adaptation as well.  The adaptation (training) does not begin until October so we will not be leaving the states until September 1st.  We originally were leaving July 31st.  We also have secured housing until the end of December.  When we posted our last update we knew we had housing for 3 months, but we recently found out we have secured our apartment until the end of the year.  We thank God for these breakthroughs!

We do have a few challenges in front of us.  Beth will be in Ireland under an “A-typical” work visa during her adaptation.  Basically, it’s a temporary work visa.  She will have this until she completes the adaptation.  Upon completion of the adaptation she will then file for a permanent work visa.  This entire process could take us into January.  Beth’s temporary work visa allows her to stay in Ireland for 6 months.  However, Saoirse and I will be living in Ireland under our U.S. Passports.  The passport only gives us 90 days.  It’s quite possible that Saoirse and I will have to leave Ireland because our 90 days will have expired before Beth receives her permanent work visa.  We will be talking to the immigration office requesting an extension.  Please pray that Saoirse and I will not have to leave.  If we do have to leave, we will be allowed to re-enter Ireland once Beth has her official work visa.

Even though we still have a few challenges ahead of us we are very excited for Beth’s new job.  This puts us on the road to a permanent work visa which allows us to stay in the country!  Below are a few prayer points.  When you think of us, please pray for the needs listed below.

1.        Pray the immigration office will allow Saoirse and I to stay in Ireland until the official work visa has been issued to Beth.

2.       Pray that our move to Ireland will be a smooth and safe transition.

3.       Pray the Lord will open doors for housing after December.  We need to find a permanent place to live.

Thank you taking the time to read our updates.  It means a lot to us.  If you would like to know more about our adventure to Ireland you can reach us at the email address listed below.  If you would like to support us financially, we would greatly appreciate it.  Please go to our website to find ways you can give.

Keep running the race!
