Here's a quick update from County Kerry, Ireland:

Beth Starts a New Job!

Probably the biggest news is Beth will be leaving her position at University Hospital in Kerry and going to the hospital across town...Bon Secours Hospital. At UHK she was working in the Emergency Department but her new position will be in Endoscopy. We're hoping the change will be a better fit for the family. Concerning this change we ask that you pray. Her last day at UHK is this Saturday. We just found out that the "paperwork" for her new job could take up to 8 weeks. We really need this process to be expedited. Please pray for a quick transition.

Dingle

We've been serving in Dingle Christian Fellowship with teaching and worship for the past few months. A few weeks ago we started teaching a biblical timeline that covers important moments in Biblical History: Creation, Curse, Covenants, Cross, Charismatic, Chaos and Crown. Maureen MacEvilly has been leading this fellowship of believers for many years. We really appreciate her allowing us to serve with teaching and worship.

This past week we began meeting in Dingle's town centre. Please pray that God will use this space to gather people who need to hear about the love of Jesus.

Killarney

We've also been serving in Living Rock Church in Killarney on Sundays. I've had the privilege to lead worship and speak a few times. Michael and Ninfa Robson have been serving as the leaders of Living Rock for many years. We really appreciate the opportunity to serve this tribe of believers as well. Below are links to the messages I shared. Pray that our Sunday gatherings are filled with the presence of God and the hearts and minds of believers are refreshed and strengthened. This is a wonderful family of believers.

Saoirse

We couldn't have an update without mentioning Saoirse!! She just finished her school year at a Montessori in Milltown which is just a few kilometers up the road. She makes friends everywhere she goes and makes sure to pull Dad out of his comfort zone! Saoirse is VERY energetic...pray for mom and dad!!

Nate, Abbey, Anna, Avery and Azari!!

While we know that God has called us to this part of the world we sure do miss our children and grandson back in Knoxville. Nate and Abbey just completed teaching summer school. Next year Nate will be the assistant basketball coach at Gresham Middle where he teaches history. Anna is living in Knoxville, attending Liberty University online and working with Street Hope Ministries. Avery is being a wonderful mom to our grandson Azari. We love our kids and miss them.

Eventful Saturday in May!

As many of you know, Beth and I serve a Christian organization that shows support for the Jewish people here in Ireland (ICEJ). We had a meeting a few weeks ago in Bray. Unfortunately a group of agitators found out about our meeting and decided to come and try to disrupt it with yelling, bullhorns and loud music. Thankfully no harm came to the people who attended the meeting. While their was much verbal harassment (Some interesting accusations were hurled at us) thankfully it was nothing more. Over the years the Lord has made it very clear to Beth and I that we are to support our Jewish neighbors here in Ireland no matter the geopolitical climate. I like this quote from missionary and theologian John Harrigan: "If the being who created the universe is indeed the God of Israel and if the Savior of the World is indeed the King of the Jews, then Gentiles need to understand and align themselves accordingly." The Jews remain God's covenant people. As believers in Jesus we should be an example of His love!!

Thank you!

We really appreciate all the texts, prayers and support. It REALLY means a lot to us. We all live busy lives so for you to take the time to read this update, pray, message and/or support us means so much. Thank you!!

It's always my hope that at the end of our lives we will be able to say these words from

2 Timothy 4: 7-8 --

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. There is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me, but to all those who have loved his appearing.

Keep running the race!
